Healthy eating and fitness update!

Hello lovely readers,
As you've seen from previous blog posts I have been really into my fitness and healthy eating recently, this was mainly because how I was feeling within my body and decided it was time to change!
It has been a month and one week since I begun and I can tell you now how much it can change the way you feel it such a short period of time. I feel SO much better, I have also started up the gym again recently which has such an amazing impact on my mood and body generally.

So firstly I thought I'd show you a couple of snacks which I am absolutely in love with and they are definitely my 'go to's' being really quick and simple to make!

Fruit, natural no fat greek yoghurt, granola.
This is so simple to throw together and is so amazingly tasty!
I have here blueberries, strawberries, pineapple and grapes all of which are my favourite fruits to eat. I have never really been into blueberries, I researched which fruits are best for you and a lot of sites said that blueberries are really good for you and now I eat them almost everyday!
Fruit isn't cheap but if you justify it with what you would've spent the money on aka crisps sweets mcdonalds etc, it's completely worth it. I buy my fruit from aldi or asda which I have realised are the cheapest. Of course I have my green tea in there aswell, try to ignore the choice of mug obviously not mine!

Brown bread, Almond butter, Banana slices.
This has become one of my recent favourites, I recently invested in some almond butter I decided to put it on some brown bread and slice up some banana to go on top and wow. If you didn't know almonds are extremely good for you and it's a perfect replacement for peanut butter which is not as healthy! This kind of snack is also perfect if you're feeling really hungry and just want to eat everything you see because of how filling it is with it being bread AND banana both of which are good for keeping you nice and full. I am currently loving this and definitely recommend it.

Okay now onto my progress, I took a picture on the first day I started and a recent picture. I honestly didn't think you would be able to see that much of a difference but it's kind of crazy how much I can see change.

Obviously the picture on the less is the before and the right is now. If you're wondering I'm not trying to lose insane amounts of weight the reason I decided to start the clean eating was to feel better mentally aswell as physically. I have lost some weight but I don't anticipate to lose weight I want to tone up and get some muscle that's where the gym comes in!
In the gym I will generally do 40 minutes cardio every time I go, that's 20 minutes treadmill and 20 minutes cross trainer. I'll then usually do legs or abs as these are the only things I'm really concentrating on at the moment although I should really do all muscles. We're starting off slow!

I do really want to document my fitness as it'll be good to look back on for myself, however, I also wanted to document it to maybe inspire other people and show people that if you put the time, dedication and determination into it you can see changes!
It would be great to hear advice/questions/comments on these type of blog posts. Of course not all my blogposts are going to be on my fitness etc.

Thank you for reading

OOTD cute & casual!

Hello lovely readers,
I know two blogposts in the space of 24 hours, am I feeling okay?
I wanted to show you my cute and casual outfit which I have chosen to wear today all clothing items are super reasonably priced. I love putting outfits together and hope I can maybe give you some inspiration on how to put together some of your clothes in a similar way!

So heres some pictures..

As it's still cold here but it's been sunny recently I decided to wear a basic grey tight skirt, a black top with lacy detailing to make it look a little bit cuter and just plain black tights, I had to add my hat in because I love it so much and it goes perfectly with this outfit. I decided to wear my chelsea boots with this. I'm not sure why I just feel like the hat looks so much better when my hairs in a messy loose side plait.

Hat- Forever21£11
Top- H&M I think this was no more than £10
Grey skirt- Primark £4
Black tights- Primark
Chelsea boots- Topshop £42

If you have any ideas on what sort of blogposts you'd recommend me doing please comment and let me know I'd love to know!

February Favourites!

Hello lovely readers,
So firstly, I apologise. I haven't been able to do as many blogpost as I'd like to and my slack game is real right now. I will really try to post a lot more during this month not promising but fingers crossed!!
As February has absolutely flown by and gone I thought i'd jump on the bandwagon and do a february favourites post. I know a lot of people enjoy reading and seeing what people have been loving and I am definitely one of those people!

Found this little gem at a random little shop in westfield, I am trying to become more organised and this is just perfect for writing things down/writing lists. I love it!

This month I decided to use my TRESemme mini 24 hour body shampoo and conditioner I didn't expect anything amazing from them, I can honestly say these make my hair feel so soft and lovely, I'm not sure if I noticed a massive change in body/volume but that to me wasn't a big deal. I run out and I was genuinely sad and had to go out and buy some more obviously the bigger versions. The 24 hour body shampoo was sold out as they were on special offer so I decided to pick up thermal recovery which I'm sure will work just as well.

If you have read my recent blogpost you'd know that I have changed my diet/eating habits and I have substituted a lot of my foods and drinks. I am still only drinking water and green tea, this definitely had to make it to my february favourites. I am a big tea/coffee lover and have substituted these for green tea. I will have 1 or 2 cups of green tea a day maybe 3 depending on how I'm feeling. This is so amazing for quickening your metabolism and more there are so many benefits to it.

Still speaking of substitutes I am a serious sweet/chocolate lover and giving them up is extremely hard but I have learnt to substitute these. I find cereal bars a great substitute! These ones in particular our one of my favourites I also really love the alpen ones though! Another thing i've been finding a great fill in is fruit and greek yoghurt, blueberries, grapes, strawberries, pineapple are usually what I go for!

This barryM nail varnish is a favourite this month. As i'm not supposed to wear nail varnish wear I work this comes in extremely handy. I hate when my nails are not painted so I found this very pale pink nude colour which is called '342 NUDE' it is so suttle and looks really pretty on the nails.

I've always wanted to try high beam and when I saw this little sample set in boots I had to grab it! I love all the mini items but high beam in particular. It gives a beautiful glow highlight to your cheeks. I definitely want to get a hold of the bigger size once I finish with this.

I decided to try out a make up revolution palette, this one caught my eye because of all the rose gold/gold tones, it also has a mix of shimmers and mattes although most of them are shimmery. I love all the colours however i'm not particularly keen on the two blues at then end but I may use them one day! This palette is called 'REDEMPTION PALETTE ICONIC 1'.

I mentioned this in my 'how to get clear skin' blogpost and I thought I'd add it into my favourites. This has definitely gotten a good amount of use this month I have used it almost every single night to take of my make up and its brilliant, so quick and easy!

I don't know if this really counts as a "february favourite" so I'm putting it at the end of the post but I have definitely styled my hair a lot like this during the month of february. I love how bouncy and healthy my hair looks when I do this. It's so quick and easy to achieve aswell!
I use straighteners smoothing out the root and mid lengths and when I get to the ends I curl under, the trick to this is to not curl to far up the hair you only need to get the ends! *excuse my really awkward hand in this photo*

Notepad- *random shop in westfield sorry idk* £1
TRESemme' shampoo/conditioner- Tesco £2.44 each on offer.
Tetley Green tea- B&M £1 something
Special K cereal bars- Asda £1.98

Benefit full glam ahead set- Boots £9.95
Make up revolution- Superdrug £4
Garnier cleansing water- Tesco £5

Tips on getting clear skin!

Hello lovely readers,

If you read my last blogpost you'd know I've been eating a lot healthier for the past week and have started cutting out a lot of things which I feel is making my body feel gross. This is also including any drinks other than water and green tea. I really didn't think I'd be able to keep up with this, however, it's been a lot easier than I thought it would be. I am definitely someone who loves a good cup of tea or coffee, I decided to subistute this for green tea. Green tea is SO good for you and at first I was worried I wouldn't like it but I actually really love it!

I have seen amazing improvements on not only how my body has been feeling but also my skin! I've never had really bad skin or suffered with bad skin but I can definitely tell all the odd blemishes and spots I usually get have lessened. I really wanted to share what I do to keep my skin clear and maybe give people who suffer with bad skin some tips!

I use the clean and clear wash and moisturiser.
These are quite inexpensive products and they just really do the job and I have used these ones for a while, I did try out the 'simple' products but they made me breakout like crazy the last time I used them and that definitely put me off, so I rely on the clean and clear ones.

I recently bought the garnier micellar cleansing water, it was rather pricy at £5 although I really do think it's worth the money. If I'm in a rush to get into bed or i've been out for the night you can get away with just using this to take off your make up and cleanse your skin which is great! I would usually use my clean and clear wash and then use this cleansing water with a cotton pad to remove anything that's been missed and it really gets all the dirt and grossness out of your skin.

Lastly is what I was talking about at the beginning, Green tea!
Also plenty of water, this is literally all I'll drink throughout the day. I'll have one cup of green tea in the morning and one before bed at night. The rest of the day I'll literally just drink water with every meal, I know this is very daunting and you may feel like you can't do it but trust me you can and it makes such difference! Adding lots of ice to your water and maybe even some sliced fruit like lime lemon or strawberries really makes it a lot nicer to drink. I feel like this is the main reason my skins been clearer recently.

A picture taken today with not a smidge of make up on and no filter!
I have no idea why I look like i've got a squint, or maybe I have. In this I can see a real improvement in my skin I obviously will have a few blemishes but nothing really major.

I also thought I'd add a little photo of what I was wearing.
I really love this boho style top I picked up recently from primark, I think it pairs really well with high waisted jeans.

top- Primark
Jeans- Topshop joni jeans

Healthy snacks and fitness!

Hello lovely readers,

Recently my eating habits have been ridiculous and I think I try to blame my job but really I should be blaming myself. I work as a waitress and if you're a waitress you'll know the struggle to try not to eat the bad food that is sold! Another thing is sometimes I don't finish work till around 11-12pm and by that time the last thing I want to do is cook a meal, so I'll pick up something from mcdonalds or kfc. I realised that this is making me feel horrible physically and emotionally.

Eating healthy and exercising DOES make you feel happy. Last year I had a membership for virgin active gym and I went at least 4 times a week, I was also eating proper meals and nowhere near as much bad food as I eat now. Although I have limited time to exercise as I do work full time and the hours are long and tiring I want to try and make time to go for a few runs or even do my own home workouts!

Something I think that is really helpful if you want to do something like this is having someone to do it with you to motivate you. My boyfriend is this person. We are starting to eat healthy together and this is really going to keep us committed.

Here are some healthy snacks I bought for times I'm feeling peckish in-between meals or at work..

Another thing helping me to keep the healthy eating up is an app I used to use and redownloaded "my fitness pal". This app is ridiculously good if you're trying to "diet" or just keep track of what you're eating. It asks you your desired weight and you put in your current weight and it will tell you how many calories you should eat a day! Even if you don't want to lose weight this app is great for just keeping track of what you're eating and how good it is for you. You can also put in exercises which will allow you to get given extra calories to eat. I love this app and will be using it a lot.

This was me last year in april. I want to get back to this by this coming April, I haven't gained a ridiculous amount of weight since this however I need to do some serious toning up because that is what I am lacking. If you're wondering what I did at the gym to achieve this..
1.Treadmill 15 minutes alternate between jogging and sprinting.
2.Cross trainer 15 minutes
3.Bench sit ups/crunches x30 5 times with 10kg weight.
4.Plank for 2 minutes.

Seed mix whole foods- Asda 70p
Bear fruit mango and pineapple dried fruit- Asda 50p
Weight watchers chicken soup- Asda 79p
Caramel Rice cakes-Asda 65p
Cream crackers- Asda 50p
Rivita originals- Asda 99p
Special k chocolate mini breaks- Asda £2.39
Rivita minis salt and vinegar- Asda £1.89
Dried mango and nuts and seeds duo- Aldi around £1 something
Sour cream and onion crisp breads- Aldi £1 something

If you want to get into fitness or healthy eating I hope this helps you or gives you a hint of inspiration. If you have any questions on my fitness or eating please leave it in the comments.
