Christmas Wishlist

Hello lovely readers,

As it's kind of nearing the end of november, not really but whatever. I decided that now would be an acceptable time to make a "christmassy" style blogpost. I know, too soon?

There is nothing I love more than this time of year.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I love festive seasons and anything I can go all out with decorations and fairy lights, i'm all for it.

So today's post I decided to show my christmas wish list.
Now of course, when you were younger it was so much more exciting whacking out the argos catalogue and circling all the toys you wanted santa to buy you, then writing out a list to the elves and santa himself up in the north pole. Obviously as you get older the things you ask for are a lot more "essential" or boring, it's still fun nonetheless.

So here goes… my christmas wish list!

1. Socks
I ask for socks every year without fail, so boring, so essential but you just can't go wrong.
I also tend to ask for fluffy socks because in the cold months these are life.

2. Perfume
To be completely honest I never, buy myself perfume.
I always wait until christmas or my birthday and then ask for one and it'll literally last me the whole year, don't ask how but it does. Last year my boyfriend kindly got me the victoria secret "eau so sexy" perfume it has lasted me all year and is almost ending which is so sad. I bought paco rabanne black xs for my mum for her birthday and i'm obsessed with it.
So i'd say that's a definite choice on my wish list.

3. Pjamas
Another obvious essential, who doesn't get pyjamas for christmas?
But seriously I just found this random picture on the internet and I actually really want these reeses pi's. Anyone know where they are sold...

4. Gold casio watch
You know there's those things that you don't want enough to buy yourself but wouldn't mind if someone else got it for you. Yep, this is one of those things.
I have had my original black one for about 2 years and I wear it constantly, I've always really wanted the gold one so maybe someone will maybe hopefully get it for me for christmas.. or not.

5. Twilight special edition (Life and death) book.
I went through a crazy obsession with twilight when it first came out, like crazy.
I saw this in asda a few weeks ago and so nearly bought it but I then thought, christmas is coming up so it's something that I could just ask for. I really do hope someone get's me this though, I really want to read it.

6. Gold hoop earrings
I haven't been wearing earrings recently because I don't have any nice ones and fake metal earrings have really been hurting my ears, I have never had this problem before so it's so strange. I really like wearing small hoops so some nicer ones would be a great christmas gift!

7. Victoria secret body mists
These mists, are amazing.
They also last such a long time which is fabulous and the smell soooo good.
I went into victoria secret recently and the packing had changed for all the mists however the old style was the only one that came up when I searched for images, so i'm confused to whether they've changed the packaging or not. Irrelevant but YAS.

8. Yankee candles
I've currently got "christmas treats" burning right now.. again, too soon?
Its smells so yummy. I definitely need a few more sweet scents.

9. Mac mineralised skin finish
I have wanted a mac mineralised skin finish for a while but I am terrible at trying to make my mind up on which one I'd want to get. I am so indecisive, hopefully I can make my mind up so I can ask for one this christmas.

10. Nike free runs 5.0

An excuse to get back to the gym, right?
I've always loved these but never wanted to spend the money on them although I know it'd be totally worth it.

And as of right now that's all I can come up with, I'm sure i'll think of plenty more things though.
Obviously this wish list i'd say is pretty realistic things that I hope if I asked for I'd actually receive.
I know a wish list can be things that you just wish you had but weren't expecting to get it all, as it's all super expensive. Whereas in this I've only included a couple of items that'd be classes as "more expensive".

I hope this wasn't too boring and that maybe it gave you some inspiration on a gift you want to receive, or want to give to somebody. I'm hoping to do quite a few festive blogposts in december as i've been slacking like crazy with my blog, honestly I really want to try to up my blogposts because I really enjoy doing them.

Let me know what you are wishing for christmas in the comments :)

A touch of Halloween..

Hello lovely readers,
When it comes to festive seasons I wish I had my own house so I could decorate it completely head to toe. This time of year is honestly my favourite I absolutely love Halloween and christmas, any excuse to add candles and little festive touches i'm all about it. As I still live with my parents I only have a small space to work with and obviously I don't want to go too overboard with tacky decorations.
I did a similar post last year around the christmas period and showed my windowsill setup, I've gone for the same theme just "Halloweeny".

I LOVE how this turned out I think it looks super festive but still quite simple and affordable!
As you can see I have the three halloween themed candles which are so cute they're also glittery which is a win in my opinion. These candles don't really have a scent so I used a vanilla scented candle to add some scent. I have added some skull fairy lights which I got for an absolute bargain and you can't go wrong with some cute fairy lights let's be honest. Lastly I scattered some little halloween themed sweets around just for an extra little touch.

I hope this gives you some inspiration for decorating a windowsill if you have one or even a desk area.

(what happens when I try to take cute blog pictures, ye nope)

Candles- B&M £2.99
Skull lights- B&M £1.99
Sweets- Home Bargains no more than a £1
Shoes- Tease shoe shop £20
Beanie- Topshop £12
Fur gilet- H&M £29.99
Top- Boohoo £12
Jeans- Topshop £36

Winter/Fall inspired outfits!

Hello lovely readers,
As I have been trying hard not to splurge all my money on a full new set of fall/winter clothes I have been doing a lot of looking on many clothing websites. I love looking at what new items shops have in stores even if I'm not going to buy them. I decided to go on polyvore and create a few outfits which I'd love to have in my wardrobe for fall.

This first outfit is definitely me.
I absolutely love turtle neck/roll/high necks in the winter they are so cosy.
I decided to pair this grey one with a denim button town skirt and some black tights.
Then went for a 'dr marten style' boot and a floppy black hat. I think all of these items paired with a cute black coat to finish it off would look so cute in the fall/winter.

Again with the turtle neck..
These jumpers are so cosy and I definitely need more in my wardrobe, I think this grey one paired with a nice pair of ripped 'mom style' jeans and some high top converse would look amazing.
Definitely more of a lazy day look but still looks like the effort has been put in. I also just paired it with a black belt.

Lastly I have this mainly white look.
I chose a white long sleeved v neck, with my favourite jeans which are the topshop joni jeans, and I decided to have a sleeveless jacket/cardigan to go over the top just to give it that extra something also some extra warmth (not that it'd make your arms any warmer but you know!).
Then to finish it off some slip on white vans which are super comfy and think go well with this outfit.

You can probably tell from this that I am totally into grey especially in the winter/fall months. This is definitely extremely monotone however you could throw in some rusty oranges, burgundy, or khaki green as these are all colours which I love to wear in the winter, I'm sure you'll be seeing a few blogposts to confirm. Slighty different blog post today but I hope you liked it and maybe it gave you some inspiration for your winter wardrobe.

Autumn day/evening outfit!

Hello lovely readers,

Recently I have realised that in the shops they are clearing out all the summer clothes and bringing in all the autumn/winter clothes. This gets me so excited for the winter months, I absolutely love wooly jumpers and beanies and I can't wait to start getting some wear out of them.

I decided to show an outfit which I am going to be wearing tonight and it's very much autumn inspired. These type of blogposts are my favourite ones to do, I love sharing my outfits and I also love seeing other blogposts like this to get inspiration for my own!

At the moment the weather is so awkward it's too warm to wear a big thick coat but it's too cold to wear just a top so wearing a knit jumper is perfect. Last winter the colours burgundy, khaki green and mustard were definitely in and I'm really hoping that it stays that way this year because those colours are my favourites.

The jumper i'm wearing is a pretty thin but still warm, it's a mustard colour which I think is perfect for autumn!
I bought this last year and it's lasted pretty well so far, i'm definitely going to get some wear out of it this year too.

This skirt I have actually featured in another outfit blogpost which was a summer outfit so it shows how versatile this skirt can be. I think it looks really cute with the jumper slightly tucked in and a brown belt. I have also paired it with some plain black tights.

I live in these chelsea boots when winter rolls around they go with so many things and are super comfy.
You can't go wrong with a pretty pair of boots.

Lastly I feel like this may quickly become my favourite hairstyle, I've seen a few people wearing their hair this way and I'm not sure why but i really love it! It's so simple to do and it gets the hair at the front out of the way and looks cute. I also did it with three braids the other day but decided to go with just two today.
Let me know if you like this hair trend?

Jumper- H&M £7.99
Skirt- Boohoo £15
Boots- Topshop £42

Bold colours make up look!

Hello lovely readers,
Recently i've been seeing tons of "beauty gurus" and beauty bloggers doing bold makeup looks, I really love the look of having a neutral eye and then a pop of colour on the waterline and I really wanted to try it out.

I went for my natural eye make up, sticking with the neutral brown/gold tones. I always stick to these colours as I feel like they make my eyes pop the most. I went for a turquoise blue under my eyes and on my waterline just as a kind of experiment and I actually really loved the way they turned out.

I wanted to do a more natural lip and one with a more bold lip to show how you can wear it both ways. Personally I actually really like the look of both but I'd definitely feel more in my comfort zone wearing the nude lip with the bold eyes.

I used the MUA intense colour liner in the colour "turquoise".
I'm actually really pleased with how pigmented and how nicely this liner went on and for £1 you really can't go wrong!

The first lip I did was a more natural one if you didn't want to go ALL out with the eyes and lips. This is one of my all time faves it's a really pretty pinky nude it's called "Asia" by rimmel.

The brighter option is bright reddish pink this one is called "Papaya punch" by sleek.
It's a matte lipstick which I really like this is the only matte lipstick I own and I would definitely buy another, this lipstick is great for a bright vibrant makeup look.

MUA eyeliner- £1 superdrug
Asia rimmel lipstick- around £6 Asda/superdrug
Papaya punch lipstick- £4 superdrug

Let me know if you like this look..

My fortnight rollercoaster

Hello lovely readers,
I haven't managed to get up a blogpost in quite a while and there has been reason for this!
I didn't realise how jam-packed my beginning of August would be until it got to it.
It started off with a trip to clacton for the weekend with my boyfriend and his family, then on monday we headed up to pleasure wood hills and great yarmouth. It was so lovely to get away from work for the weekend and the weather was amazing.

We stayed in Great yarmouth for just one night and headed home on tuesday. The real panic started to kick in when I realised just how close my driving test was. I had a horrendous driving lesson on tuesday night (which i've heard is common to have a bad lesson before your test).
I was petrified, I am no good with tests and this pushed me WAY out of my comfort zone.
I ended up with 0 minors but 2 major faults as my examiner took me on a big complicated roundabout which I was not 100% confident on. I was extremely bummed but I'm hoping next time i'll get lucky!

My sister turned 21 the same week and on the saturday we threw her a big family/friends party at our house which my mum made a Hawaiian theme. It'd been raining for the past few days so we were pretty lucky with the weather, it wasn't amazing weather but definitely better than what it had been.
It was lovely to catch up with all the family that I don't really see as they live quite far away.

To top all the craziness off my boyfriend auditioned for Ninja warrior UK.
He got through, which was great however, extremely short notice for when we had to travel down to Manchester for him to be in the first heat for the TV show. It was definitely last minute but something that he couldn't turn down, an unmissable opportunity. I think it's more nerve-wracking for family and friends who are watching than the actual contestants. He ended up getting disqualified which will hopefully be shown on TV in the new year. It was definitely a bummer after such a long day.
Although he is determined to enter again next year and not get disqualified!

*if you were with a contestant they made you sit at the front and get filmed when they were doing the course look out for ugly ass close ups*

*ps i know the writing is backwards but we can just ignore that.. FOAM FINGER*

Overall it's been a rollercoaster of ups and downs this month but it's definitely been enjoyable and eventful. Along with work aswell it's definitely nice to just sit and write a blogpost.
I hope this was moderately enjoyable to read and if so please let me know your thoughts.
I have been having problems with my comment box which is ongoing so if you have any questions or any ideas of blogposts that you'd recommend me doing please feel free to email me at- paisleysx@hotmail.co.uk
