Tips on getting clear skin!

Hello lovely readers,

If you read my last blogpost you'd know I've been eating a lot healthier for the past week and have started cutting out a lot of things which I feel is making my body feel gross. This is also including any drinks other than water and green tea. I really didn't think I'd be able to keep up with this, however, it's been a lot easier than I thought it would be. I am definitely someone who loves a good cup of tea or coffee, I decided to subistute this for green tea. Green tea is SO good for you and at first I was worried I wouldn't like it but I actually really love it!

I have seen amazing improvements on not only how my body has been feeling but also my skin! I've never had really bad skin or suffered with bad skin but I can definitely tell all the odd blemishes and spots I usually get have lessened. I really wanted to share what I do to keep my skin clear and maybe give people who suffer with bad skin some tips!

I use the clean and clear wash and moisturiser.
These are quite inexpensive products and they just really do the job and I have used these ones for a while, I did try out the 'simple' products but they made me breakout like crazy the last time I used them and that definitely put me off, so I rely on the clean and clear ones.

I recently bought the garnier micellar cleansing water, it was rather pricy at £5 although I really do think it's worth the money. If I'm in a rush to get into bed or i've been out for the night you can get away with just using this to take off your make up and cleanse your skin which is great! I would usually use my clean and clear wash and then use this cleansing water with a cotton pad to remove anything that's been missed and it really gets all the dirt and grossness out of your skin.

Lastly is what I was talking about at the beginning, Green tea!
Also plenty of water, this is literally all I'll drink throughout the day. I'll have one cup of green tea in the morning and one before bed at night. The rest of the day I'll literally just drink water with every meal, I know this is very daunting and you may feel like you can't do it but trust me you can and it makes such difference! Adding lots of ice to your water and maybe even some sliced fruit like lime lemon or strawberries really makes it a lot nicer to drink. I feel like this is the main reason my skins been clearer recently.

A picture taken today with not a smidge of make up on and no filter!
I have no idea why I look like i've got a squint, or maybe I have. In this I can see a real improvement in my skin I obviously will have a few blemishes but nothing really major.

I also thought I'd add a little photo of what I was wearing.
I really love this boho style top I picked up recently from primark, I think it pairs really well with high waisted jeans.

top- Primark
Jeans- Topshop joni jeans

Healthy snacks and fitness!

Hello lovely readers,

Recently my eating habits have been ridiculous and I think I try to blame my job but really I should be blaming myself. I work as a waitress and if you're a waitress you'll know the struggle to try not to eat the bad food that is sold! Another thing is sometimes I don't finish work till around 11-12pm and by that time the last thing I want to do is cook a meal, so I'll pick up something from mcdonalds or kfc. I realised that this is making me feel horrible physically and emotionally.

Eating healthy and exercising DOES make you feel happy. Last year I had a membership for virgin active gym and I went at least 4 times a week, I was also eating proper meals and nowhere near as much bad food as I eat now. Although I have limited time to exercise as I do work full time and the hours are long and tiring I want to try and make time to go for a few runs or even do my own home workouts!

Something I think that is really helpful if you want to do something like this is having someone to do it with you to motivate you. My boyfriend is this person. We are starting to eat healthy together and this is really going to keep us committed.

Here are some healthy snacks I bought for times I'm feeling peckish in-between meals or at work..

Another thing helping me to keep the healthy eating up is an app I used to use and redownloaded "my fitness pal". This app is ridiculously good if you're trying to "diet" or just keep track of what you're eating. It asks you your desired weight and you put in your current weight and it will tell you how many calories you should eat a day! Even if you don't want to lose weight this app is great for just keeping track of what you're eating and how good it is for you. You can also put in exercises which will allow you to get given extra calories to eat. I love this app and will be using it a lot.

This was me last year in april. I want to get back to this by this coming April, I haven't gained a ridiculous amount of weight since this however I need to do some serious toning up because that is what I am lacking. If you're wondering what I did at the gym to achieve this..
1.Treadmill 15 minutes alternate between jogging and sprinting.
2.Cross trainer 15 minutes
3.Bench sit ups/crunches x30 5 times with 10kg weight.
4.Plank for 2 minutes.

Seed mix whole foods- Asda 70p
Bear fruit mango and pineapple dried fruit- Asda 50p
Weight watchers chicken soup- Asda 79p
Caramel Rice cakes-Asda 65p
Cream crackers- Asda 50p
Rivita originals- Asda 99p
Special k chocolate mini breaks- Asda £2.39
Rivita minis salt and vinegar- Asda £1.89
Dried mango and nuts and seeds duo- Aldi around £1 something

If you want to get into fitness or healthy eating I hope this helps you or gives you a hint of inspiration. If you have any questions on my fitness or eating please leave it in the comments.

Get To Know Me Tag!

Hello lovely readers,

Since my last few posts have been beauty/fashion related I thought I'd mix it up a bit! I suppose a lot of people that are reading my blog don't know many things about me, so I decided to do a "Get to know me tag". I haven't been tagged but I wanted to do it anyway. I basically just looked up the tag and found the questions so I'mma answer them right now.

21 QUESTIONS..

Are you named after anyone?
I believe the answer to this is no. My mum actually found my name in a baby book, she had a thing for unusual names and she really liked the name paisley so yeah.

When was the last time you cried?
I genuinely don't even know. I cry all the time, if i'm sad, happy, angry. It's annoying.

Do you have kids?
Nope.

If you were another person would you be a friend of yourself?
I think i'm a good friend, however, I'm ridiculously bad at replying to texts from friends and I'll leave it and then completely forget they've even texted, so I'd find that really annoying. oops.

Do you use sarcasm a lot?
I feel like my bunch of friends are the most sarcastic twats ever. So like no not at all, ever. *sarcasm intended*

Will you ever bungee-jump?
I don't really like the thought of anything of the sort, I am one of those people that literally think about the worst possible scenario for anything. I would love to say I'd done it though.

What's your favourite cereal?
Honestly it differs all the time. At the moment though I love porridge the cinnamon flavoured one, banana weetabix(yeah they're a thing and really good", krave and clusters. They are all so good.

What's the first thing you notice about someone?
I feel like it depends on the person but typically you notice eyes or teeth/smile. I always notice if they have good teeth or not and if they do I instantly envy them.

What is your eye colour?
I have multiple debates over what colour my eyes are. When I was younger my eyes were electric blue, now I think they're a bright blue/green but more green, although most people just say my eyes are blue idk.

Horror movies or happy endings?
I love watching scary movies it really just depends what mood I'm in though because I do like a good cheesy happy ending.

Favourite smells?
perfume/aftershave would be victoria secret "eau so sexy", beyonce "heat", paco rabanne 1 million. In general when it starts getting into spring/summer and that "summer smell" i love it.

Summer or winter?
British winter is too cold and is just not okay, British summer is humid and it's just different to other countries versions of "summer" like it's just not the same. I do probably prefer summer for going out and not having to wrap up warm, going to the pub.

Computer or television?
Definitely computer, I love my tv shows pretty little liars, vampire diaries, gossip girl etc but I'd watch them all on netflix on my macbook. I barely ever watch tv and when I do I watch it on a computer device.

What's the furthest you've been away from home?
Orlando, Florida.

Do you have any special talents?
Whenever I try and think of a talent I have nothing comes to mind, and it's really sad.

Where were you born?
The United Kingdom.

What are your hobbies?
Blogging, reading blogs, watching youtube videos, going out with friends.

Do you have any pets?
I do. A cocker spaniel called Harley.

Favourite movie?
Literally impossible. I do really love films with leonardo di caprio in though. Romeo&juliet, titanic, wolf of wall street. All good films.

Do you have any siblings?
Yes, I have one older sister named larissa and a younger sister named eden. I am the middle devil chid.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Honestly I don't know and don't really care as long as I'm happy and content with life that's all that matters.

If you read this tag and fancy giving it a whirl feel free and comment with your post so I can take a look. I hope you now feel like you know a little bit more about me in a non creepy way.

Shower Must Haves!

Hello lovely readers,
I do apologize for my posts being really scattered, I haven't quite grasped a strict routine of when I put up posts so for now they're just coming when I'm free to do them!

For christmas I received a big set of jack wills shower/bath things and I've been trying them out recently aswell as a few other things and I thought it  would be a good idea to show my shower essentials. Things that I use in the shower as of right now that I would recommend to you because I really really like them.

Starting off with my shampoo and conditioner, I recently got these two because they were on offer and I thought they smelt amazing, they're also for dry and damaged hair which was a a bonus. Seriously though these leave your hair smelling so good, I find they're very nourishing for the hair as it says on the bottle. It definitely leaves my hair more smooth looking. These bottles are actually the smaller ones so they do others in a bigger size than these I just got this size because they were on offer but I will most likely purchase these again!

If you have long, knotty hair like me this is your saviour, honestly I would recommend these wide tooth combs to anybody with a lot of hair because they just make life a whole lot easier when in the shower. I use it when I put my conditioner in I'll then comb through my hair tip to root with this and when I get out of the shower my hair is so much easier to handle!

As I was saying I received all my jack wills body set for christmas and these two little beauties came with it. I've never tried any sort of body wash item from jack wills before as I usually will always use my soap and glory products. I started using the body mist and I loved the smell of it so I decided to try these out which also have the exact same smell. So far I love them they leave my skin smelling so nice and the smell really lingers on your skin which I love.

The set also comes with this to lather on the body wash, I cannot remember for the life of me what these are actually called but I just know that they're extremely useful and handy. One of those boring but essential things!

After a shower/bath it's always nice to use a decent body butter to make your skin feel smooth fabulous. The set also came with this body butter which comes very close to my sugar crush body butter by soap and glory. It goes on the skin so well and sinks into the skin easily. The smell is also the same as the others!

Last thing I wanted to mention is not exactly a shower essential however, I had to include it because my friend Alice shootout to my girl wore this recently and was saying how most fake tans when put on your face always leave patchy marks and it just does not look so fab. She purchased this one the rimmel sun shimmer spray and it look's amazing on. I obviously had to go try it out and I can't recommend this stuff enough. I am naturally ridiculously pale and this shade is medium matte it left me looking really brown but it also looked really natural and didn't have that orangey tone either which is great! We got a lot of compliments and questions around work asking what we had on and if we'd had a spray tan. Oh and it also smells good, unlike a lot of other fake tans. The only down side to this product is that they don't come in a big size so they only last a couple of applications which is really annoying. But other than that it's great.

Garnier ultimate blends shampoo & conditioner- £3.98 each on special offer at asda 2 for £4
Wide tooth comb- Probably like a £1- £3 any drugstore/supermarket
Rimmel sun shimmer spray tan medium matte- £7.99

I apologize I can't find the individual prices of my jack wills body things, you can check out jack wills website and see if you can find them if you wish.
