Makeup Day vs Night

Hello lovely readers,
When it comes to make up I usually will always wear the same colours especially on the eyes, I definitely always go for the more neutral brown/gold tones, however, If I'm going out I will try to make the look a lot more dramatic using the same colours! I thought it'd be a good idea to show you how I change my look from day to night incase you're like me and like to wear the neutral tones and not go too bold. Things like making a lip colour the statement of your make up look this can make your make up look a lot more dramatic and different!

In this first picture I am wearing a very simple make up look, I would say this is my day to day look. I'm wearing a thin layer of foundation, a small amount of bronzer (although you cannot see this at all). I'm wearing a light champagne colour on my inner eyes and then the sleek bronzer colour on the crease of the eyes to make them have more depth. I used my rimmel lash accelerator endless mascara and just my rosy pink vaseline on the lips. As you can see this gives a very natural look.

In this photo I am wearing my mac vintage selection paint pot on the inner and centre of my eyes and the same sleek bronzer on the out corners and crease, I made this a bit darker to make it more of a night time look. I also applied a thicker layer of foundation for fuller coverage and same goes for bronzer to make my self look a lot more bronzed. I applied a few more layers of mascara to make them more dramatic. As for lipstick this is definitely what makes this look a lot more of a "going out" look, I used my lighter pink first of all then I took a more darker shade of pink and applied it to the outer corners to make the middle parts of my lips look lighter. It's a kind of ombre lip look which I thought ended up looking really good. It also makes your lips look a lot bigger/fuller(win).

I went out on thursday night with my friends and I thought I'd include some of the pictures we took because I am also wearing the same make up look but with a different lip colour.

As I was wearing fake tan I definitely went heavier on the bronzer hence why I look a lot more tanned in these rather than the very first picture. I am naturally so white. I really love the way my hair turned out this night too which is also why I wanted to put these pictures up. All I did was use my straighteners to flick the ends inwards and I felt like this made it look so much nicer than if I just straightened it normally, I feel like my hair is quite long so when I keep it straight it just looks dull and boring.

OOTD & HOTD

Hello lovely readers,
I am here with a ootd & hotd aka outfit of the day and hair of the day, I felt like this title would be rather long so I decided to abbreviate both. Look at this two posts up a couple of days apart! I should have a routine really but I started with the routine of sundays and wednesdays and found that it was hard to stick to so I am just posting when I'm free to do so.

I haven't really done a lot today just went out with a couple of friends for lunch but I liked my hair and outfit so I decided I'd take a few snaps and make it into a blogpost.

So we'll start with hair!
Today I decided to do a french plait to get my front hair completely out of the way. I pretty much just did an inverted french plait not going back to far and then tied it with a hairband. I then took all my hair at he from and pinned it back. I know I am the absolute worst at explaining but it really was so simple and if you have annoying hair that's always in your face this is just perfect. With the ends of my hair I used the straighteners to straighten all the way to near the end then curled right at the ends of my hair. It just gives it a little extra! Can I just say I apologise for the state of my hair I am growing my highlights out which is why my roots are darker than mid lengths and ends, also I've just realised all my baby hairs .. wow.

I know what you're thinking.. "those jeans again!?" Yes. I live in these jeans they are just the most comfortable jeans ever. Topshop joni jeans, get them you won't regret it. You can't go wrong with denim jeans. The shoes I opted for were my checkered canvas vans. I find this sort of shoe SO easy wearing and comfortable. I actually bought these when I was in America last year because I couldn't resist, I love how they can make a plain/simple outfit have a little bit more edge.

I wore this ribbed high neck top from topshop along with my jeans. This top is slightly cropped which is why I wore it with high waisted jeans as it looks a lot more flattering with high waisted bottoms. I'm not a fan of cropped tops with hipster bottoms. And of course i'm wearing my pretty necklace which I got from my boyfriend for christmas. Not a lot to say about this top it's just really simple and comfy, a staple piece. One thing I would say is definitely wear a strapless bra with these sort of tops it looks a lot more flattering than having your straps all on show, although if that's what you like then.. whatever floats your boat I guess!

Here's a couple of full length photos. I realise I am quite stern faced in these.. oops.

Ribbed funnel top- Topshop £10
Joni jeans ripped knee denim- £42
Vans checkered black and white- £47
Black Casio- Amazon £10

Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara Review!

Hello lovely readers,
Today i decided to show you how well the Rimmel Lash accelerator endless works on my eyelashes! I have been using it since I saw it in store and thought i'd try it out. I love how much it lengthens my eyelashes. (This post has not been sponsored I really just wanted to show you all how good it is because I recommend the product)

This first picture is me without make up and no mascara obviously as you can tell. I have no idea why my pupils are so huge in this picture, especially compared to the other. This is just to show you how my eyelashes are without the product on.

Then of course in this picture I have make up on and the mascara on, and my pupils are a hell of a lot smaller! I tend to put the tiniest amount of mascara on my bottom lashes because my bottom are as long as my top with mascara on and I just think it looks really strange when they're as long. You can definitely see a major difference, it truly lengthens my eyelashes, I'm also not a fan of fake eyelashes I never wear them and I feel like with a mascara this good you can totally get away with not wearing falsies. You can layer this as much as you want I think in this picture I have 2/3 coats on which sounds like a lot but it's how much I'd use if I were to be going out. If I wanted a lighter make up I'd just apply one coat and it still works wonders.

I feel like this works for me perfectly but if you liked the length but didn't feel like it gives you enough volume i'd pair it with a more volumizing mascara, as this one mainly focuses on lengthening.

If you're looking to buy it this is what it looks like. I've used this in a previous blogpost and also talked about it there. The applicator is a plastic with quite small thing bristles. You can purchase it in most drugstores like, super drug, boots, or where I usually get mine from Asda. If you don't have these stores I'd recommend looking online.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara- £7.99
(cheaper in Asda)

Beauty Haul (and a few randoms)

Hello lovely readers,
Today I took a trip to lakeside with a few friends as we had to head to the apple shop, I took this opportunity to do a spot of shopping(of course). I wasn't planning on getting the things I got although I am very very happy I ended up getting them. Today I bought my first MAC item, I know.. so behind, I could just never justify paying a lot of money for one product however I decided to treat myself today! I originally really wanted a MAC lipstick which is what I thought I would end up buying, that was not the case. I decided to take a look at the paint pots. I asked the lady for a cream/gold which was the best description I could give. She found the most perfect colour it's almost like a rose gold and is absolutely stunning. I have swatched it on my hand and it is doesn't rub of unless you use a makeup wipe so I am extremely excited to use it on my eyes and see how long it lasts on them.

I also went to an urban decay counter, I knew I wanted the urban decay eyeshadow primer potion. I know how raved it was and really want to try it out. I ended up getting the original although it was a tough choice between "eden"or the original. I'd love to know if anyone has eden and how they like it! I am really excited to try this out and see if it makes a difference to how long my eyeshadow stays on.

I recently received the eos lip balm in the post, I actually bought it on amazon wanting to try it out and saw it was going for pretty cheap. The one I got is called "strawberry sorbet" I saw a lot of people writing about these and I decided to finally get one. I've used it a few times since I got it and I do love the smell and the way it leaves your lips feeling after you've used it. I will probably be using this a lot as a replacement for my rosy lips vaseline which I usually use.

We popped into river island because I was in desperate need of a new purse, I always go into river island and look at the purses and love them but never buy one. I decided to go for light pink with quite crazy leopard detailing which is not something I'd usually go for I definitely am more of a monochrome person, although for some reason this one just jumped out at me and I really liked the look of it.

Another of my random purchases today (so random) is a mint green/blue sippy cup from primark, I just love. I don't know what it is about these cups at the moment but I just really really enjoy the look of it. As soon as I saw it I had to get it, I believe you can put cold or hot drinks in it as it has a rim of rubber to grip if you do put hot drinks. I just think it's so cute and I can drink my water tea and coffee in it.
It's the little things.

Mac prolong wear paint pot called "vintage collection" - £15.50
Urban decay eyeshadow primer- £16.00
EOS lip balm- £2ish I think
River Island purse- £17.00
Primark cup- £2.50

That is everything I got on my little shopping trip to lakeside today, I shouldn't have splurged again but I just can't help myself it's inevitable!

I will definitely be doing a review on my mac paint pot and urban decay eyeshadow primer potion so please stay tuned if you'd like to see how they both work out for me. If you have any questions or things you'd like to say please leave me a comment I'd love to hear.

Missguided basic tops

Hello lovely readers,
Recently I purchased a few tops from Missguided, before I bought my big knitted roll neck grey jumper from there I never really shopped on their site. I loved the jumper so much I decided to pick out a few tops which were extremely inexpensive, I wanted to get basic tops that I could pair with most of my jeans/trousers/leggings/skirts. Yesterday I received my order and I couldn't be more happy with my items. For the minimal money I spent the quality and feel of the tops are 100% worth it.

Grey quarter length sleeved turtle neck top £10

I pair all the tops with my high waisted ripped knee Joni jeans these are the darker denim kind, SO COMFY. I definitely find high waisted jeans a lot more flattering aswell. Also got my nike theas on. I absolutely adore this top so comfy and so cheap, well done missguided.

Black and White ribbed high neck crop tops £5 each

These tops are more basic than basic but an absolute must have. I really like how these tops look with the same outfit combo but they'd also look really nice to dress up with a nice skirt. These tops are really soft and easy wearing and for £5 they're an absolute bargain!

All the tops I got are in a UK size 8 and I am around 5'5 5'6 in height and in most clothes shops I am around a 6/8. Just incase you were thinking of purchasing these and wanted to know about sizing. Mine fit me perfectly so go for the size you usually are in clothes.

Just going to randomly throw another item I bought not from missguided but amazon. I was looking for a eyeshadow blending brush as I don't really own a good one and I found the nanshy blending brush on amazon it was the same price as on the normal website for Nanshy £5.95 but I ordered it on amazon because I  can rely on them to deliver really quickly (which they did). I have used this brush since it came and I am absolutely loving it, it definitely makes doing my eyeshadow a lot of an easier task.

To anyone who's looking for a new blending eyeshadow brush I definitely recommend this one, I might even have to purchase a few more of the Nanshy brushes.

Just a slight disclaimer, none of these items are sponsored. I just wanted to share them because I was really happy with all of them :)

If you have any questions/input about my post/posts please leave me a comment.

The British Tag

Hello lovely readers,
I have recently stumbled across a blogpost named "The British Tag".
As I am british I thought I'd give this tag a go, I wasn't actually tagged to do it but I shall do it anyway.
I really like reading other peoples answers to this tag, I hope you enjoy mine!

How many cups of tea do you have a day and how many sugars?
Totally depends on the day and how i'm feeling that day.
Some days I will drink a cup in the morning then maybe two or three in the evening, Usually though I will have one in the morning and one in the evening. I take half a teaspoon of sugar because quite frankly if you have a million sugars in tea you don't like tea, you like cups of sugar.
(unpopular opinion)

What is your favourite part of your roast dinner?
Ok, I am not a fan of roast dinners, I know.. what!?
However, my favourite part would probably be mash potato. I love mash potato.
(Another unpopular opinion)

What is your favourite dunking biscuit?
Definitely rich tea biscuits, a lot of people don't like rich teas to dunk as they go so soggy I can get past that because they're fabulous dunked in tea. Malted milks are also really good to dunk.

What is your favourite quintessentially British pastime?
I would love to write having tea and scones but I don't actually do that(although I love both), I'm not sure what else I do that would class as a typical british pastime so I'm gonna pass it on this one.

What is your favourite word?
I'm guessing this is what is my favourite "british word" I always say the word "peak" sarcastically which is so very annoying, i'm guessing it's just a british slang word. Here's urban dictionary's definition
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Peak+times

Do you know any cockney rhyme slang?
Can't actually say I do..

What is your favourite sweet?
I have a major sweet tooth. I love strawberry bon bons, strawberry pencils, and general "penny sweets" jelly tots are also up there with my favourite sweet. I cannot pick one.

What would your pub be called?
I have absolutely no idea, it would be really hard to find a name that isn't already taken!

Who is your no.1 British person?
Hands down, Prince Harry. I feel like he's everyones no 1 british person even if you aren't british.. am i right or am i right?

What is your favourite shop and restaurant?
I feel like I have to choose a shop that is british of course and that has to be Asda or Primark because you just can't go wrong. As for restaurant probably toby carvery

What British song pops into your head?
Three lions (on my shirt) (footballs coming home). This is the first one that popped into my head or of course the national anthem.

Marmite?
Revolting. It's a definite no from me.

I tag any blogger that reads and is british :)
If you do decide to do this tag after reading this post the link in my comments and I'll read them!

hello 2015

Hello lovely readers,
It's 2015, can you believe it? Nope. Neither can I.
This year like every other year feels like it was gone in the blink of an eye, I have had an amazing year nothing has gone as i'd originally expected but that is life. I do believe everything happens for a reason and so I tend to go with my gut instinct and go with the flow.

This year I stayed in with my family and boyfriend for new years. Yep, first year of being 18 at new years and I decide to stay in! It was the perfect way to start the new year.

I am incredibly excited to see what 2015 holds, I'm sure many more fun an memorable moments will be made. Right now I am just grateful for the amazing family and boyfriend I have(as cheesy as it sounds) I love them a hell of a lot and I am so appreciative I have them.

This year I want to make a new years resolution to completely redecorate my room, Painting the walls, changing the curtains to new curtain etc. This is something I have wanted to do for the longest time, However, I am very ridiculously lazy so we'll see about that one. Another is going to bed earlier and getting up earlier. As I said…We'll see.

Just incase you were wondering..
Top- River Island
Black high waisted joni jeans- Topshop
Black casio watch- Amazon

Didn't do anything too crazy with my makeup or hair as I stayed in for new year, so excuse that.
I hope you all had an amazing year and are looking forward on whats to come.
